How many of you have had problems with your wisdom teeth? My doctor told me that my jaw is "not long enough", and I have two impacted wisdom teeth (mostly covered by bone and the soft tissue of my gums and inner cheeks) which are not really causing me any problems, aside from an occasional reminder that I might have to get them removed sooner or later
My teeth pretty much have no room to grow. How significant is this "lack of room" from an anthropological perspective? Could it be evidence of Neanderthal admixture, or perhaps ancient miscegenation, with smaller jaws inherited from "Aryans", and larger jaws from "non-Aryans"? I heard these problems are common in India, where Caucasoids intermixed with Australoids. Any ideas?
