What happens in the media are nothing more than selected, biased/isolated incidences. Even so, people like that like to project their own biases because of their own shortcomings and insecurities. In that respect, they are petty and weak-minded at the end of the day whom don't like taking responsibility for their own actions. A friend of mine has a Navajo internet friend. I also talked to her and have her on Skype even. Her family (especially dad) consists of messed up alcoholics. She herself is very disciplined, smart and studious though. I hope she's doing alright now. Great potential.

Most Native Americans didn't have alcoholic drinks until they met Europeans I think. This is why they often develop drinking problems. Europeans and East Asians have an old tradition of alcohol consumption, but even many among us struggle with 'moderation'.
