    Lots of people have this last name:
    Khoury/Khourie/el Khoury/el Khouri/Elkhoury/Elkhouri.... etc etc

    It means "the {Christian} priest." Probably the most common last name/"family" to be from amongst Arab Christians. There are many people with this name in my family and family history, and I swear you will not be able to even come close to doxxing me from this. The joke is, if you go on Facebook and look up "Michel Khoury," you will never find the one you are actually looking for

    Also "Saliba/Salibi," which means 'Cross' but I guess also means "Crusader."

    Cipolla: lit. onion, could refer to an onion grower and/or seller;

    Seckler: a purse-maker or apparently could also be a treasurer;

    Marckert: it seems to be cognate with Marquardt/Markwart, a border guard;

    Zollinger: either a toponymic or an occupational surname for someone who worked at a customs post.

    I only have a few in recent generations. On the Ukrainian side I have Olenik, a name for someone who made cooking oil. On the Polish side I have Sobol, apparently a name for a fur trader. And finally, on my English side, I have Clark. Probably from someone who was a scribe or something similar.
