Many dalits across the country dont look different at all from other castes. But in certain areas, especially around nw india the differences are stark.

so nw indian dalits look more weddid/indo-melanid then dalits in other parts? did i got that right? also most of them dont look different from "indians" i mean the people who attended i guess they are dalits since its the dalit chamber of commerce.

no thats not what i meant. the dalits in nw india are very different from non dalits. The jatts for example look very different from dalits in punjab. Whereas in central and south india they dont look that different from other upper and mid castes.

because jatts are much lighter and more western shifted then the average indian whereas in other parts of india its just average indians?

yeah pretty much. the contrast isnt that great in rest of india. If you walk on the streets you can't even tell who belongs to what caste superficially. You can many times make out the upper castes like brahmins and NW indians but rest of the castes just look according to their regions.

Not exactly as indian but I have strong connection to India. Im not exactly indian but RELATED to them.
