Japanese language is a unique isolated language.. very different from Chinese/Korean..

however Japanese language has a little Austronesian elements to it just like filipino/Indonesian/Polynesian..

Can you speak any Japanese conversation by any chance?

Edit: And yeah the Japanese are also pretty isolated when it comes to genetics as well! But in regard to the Austronesian connection in language can you post some links to read about that?- I'm curious..

I appreciate both, but I'm going to have to go with Japanese. I would like to know more about Spanish loanwords in Tagalog, and it would be interesting to know if there is any Sanskritic influence on vocabulary.

I can speak basic Tagalog conversation, and yea many Spanish vocabulary words I've acquired from Tagalog-lol it gave me a lil edge in Spanish vocab but nothing on the side of Spanish grammar. But with the Spanish loanwords found in Tagalog it essentially pretty much incorporates the same original Spanish pronunciations though the Filipinos usually like to alter the spellings a bit to suit their language... examples would be words like "loko" or "bokabularyo" "biyahe" etc.

    - Here are some Sanskrit loanwords found in Tagalog: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...galog#Sanskrit ..Do you know these? ...but I'm speculating that since there seems to be this linguistic connection with Sanskrit that most definitely Filipinos will also have a little genetic influence with ancient Indians/South Asians I'm thinking. It's fascinating stuff indeed!

But anyways Japanese does seem to be quite a popular one when it comes to foreign languages, much more so in general than Tagalog it appears. It's cool hearing some straight up foreigners who can speak some Tagalog conversation though, I just find it cool.

Edit: And yea Filipinos love to replace v's with b's for some reason haha

Unfair. People are more familiar with Japanese and Japanese also has a stronger cultural output.

    I am undecided myself.
