As a boy, I grew up riding horses, and I couldn't help but notice, obviously, that other than a few other boys, it was mainly girls . I remember being one of three boys at horse camp ! Horses used to be the domain of men. Now the horse industry is disproportionately female. Sure there are some top riders in the Equestrian sports that are male- Nick Skelton, etc. There are more men in the Western riding , but even that is being taken over by women. The average horse industry is all female oriented. Women run horse farms now. Women train horses and they breed them. When did this change occur? My great great granddaddy used to break in horses until his nose bled. Riding a horse is part of manhood and a very manly thing to do. Men today are too afraid of horses and would rather watch football or play video games. They have become sissified, while the women folk have taken over the sport. Why is this? Men need to take back the sport.
