Not really. It's his acting that's overrated.
I agree with LB that he was good looking when he was young. (No homo.) There is something about his current style that annoys me. And why's he so damned tan now that he's old and why does his nose look like a Northeast Asian woman's now when it didn't before? What's with that crummy facial hair that makes him look even more Asian? Why does he talk like he has a frog in his throat all time? THESE are the questions that keep me up at night.

He is a good actor. He was awesome in The Ninth Gate, and The Libertine, those are my favorites.Nope, pretty damn good looking if you ask me.

I think he is really good looking especially his beard! But he is totally overrated as an actor I think. Depp always seems to play the one and the same way, he is the opposite of an universal actor like the great Ben Kingsley for example.
