Hi there!
I'm happy to introduce myself to this interesting forum. I come from Upper Silesia (Rybnik), one of the most ethnically interesting places in Europe, I think.
My ancestors are mainly of Germanic ethnicity, but I'm proud to call myself a Silesian because of other cultural influences in my family.
As probably to all of you, the topic of ethnic preservation is close to me. As I see most of you suffer mentally because of losing local heritage and cultural unification in Europe. I, personally, just as many members of some social movements here in Silesia, am trying to keep safe what our ancestors left us.
I'm interested in history, music, economy, politics, I would particularly like to read some stories about your regions traditions.
I hope my posts here will be understandable, and will try to write as often as it's possible in my busy life .
pozdrowiynia ze Ślunska!/Grüsse aus Schlesien!/greetings from Silesia!
