Apart from English, which foreign language is most often studied and spoken in your nation?

German and Spanish share the second place.
Others less common include French, Russian and Italian (in descending order).

I tried learning Latin - far too hard. Anyway, do you speak any of those? In the Spanish-language section you usually just write in Portuguese, don't you?

I speak Spanish but I didn't learn it at School, only English and French, I don't have French since the 9th grade (when I was 15 years old) and I don't need to speak it anywhere so I just remember a few words and a few sentences.

I never learned German aswell. Latin is for a reduced number of students.

Why? The language is so close it's almost a waste of time learning it.

German, French. I flunked my French but I later on picked up a bit of Norwegian at the "Volksuniversiteit".
In time, I may have to learn some Tagalog.
