According to Karafet et al., the estimated dates for the branching of K, K2, K2b and P point to a "rapid diversification" within K2 "that likely occurred in Southeast Asia", with subsequent "westward expansions" of P*, P1, Q and R
The only living males reported as carrying the basal paragroup K2* (K-M526) are indigenous Australian males. Up to 27% of them may carry K2* and approximately 29% of Aboriginal Australian males belong to subclades of K2b1.

funnily I've noticed the opposite: how Lithuanians and Latvians are not Siberian-influenced at all, compared to their immediate neighbours, the Russians. you probably misjudged their looks, maybe because you are not European and take as Mongoloid what is actually Baltid or such. they are not heavy not even on East Baltid... Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians look like a mix of Slavic and Germanic, which they in a way are (without being), I mean they stem from the Proto-Indo-Europeans and Germans and Slavs both descended from the same population, some went to the northwest (these ones mixed with Northern European CroMagnons), some to the east (these ones mixed with Uralics and Siberids)

Lithuanians don't have any significant East Eurasian admixture, but they have one of the highest levels of ANE in Europe, and it was recently shown in the Dzudzuana paper that ANE is a composite of Crown Eurasian and some kind of archaic East Asian populations related to Tianyuan. More ANE == more Mongoloid.

Have been to Lithuania. Very, very few are as the OP describes. Baltid (both East Baltid and not east Baltid) and Gorid types were most common from what I remember, with significant minority of East Nordid, Corded, and small minority of Norid.

"Likely" and basal K2* instead of basal R*? I hope you realize this is very weak.

ANE did have Mongoloid types, but they didn't have brachycephalic Mongoloid types (in other word: Lappoid). Modern Lithuanians have Lappoid admixture that came from the Finno-Ugrian immigrants.

because he is fully European, he probably scores minimal Neolithic Mesopotamian genes (under 5%, like all the Eastern Baltic region). he just looks East Baltic

It is not under 5 %, that is an exeggeration. 20-25 % is more like it (lowest in Europe, Scandinavia is around 30%)
