You would not even be a nation today if not for the Soviet Army. You would also not have your culture preserved without their occupation of 50 years. The fact is these monuments honor the fallen and those who sacrificed for Poland not some perished ideology.

Actually, Poland would be a nation today even more if it hadn't been for the Soviet Army.
How so? It's simple:
Soviet Union supported Germans in their war from the very first day (1st September), and on the 17th september invaded Poland, preventing the Polish army from establishing a new defensive line on Vistula and San rivers. Without the Soviet help, Germany would not be able to take over the entire Poland and would eventually run out of necessary materials, becoming more prone to and Allied offensive (which would be inevitable in that case).

What do you think of Soviet memorials in Germany? I was surprised to see them extremly well-kept, in Berlin atleast. They were in much better condition than most are even in Saint-Petersburg.
