Default Why do white leftists outside of Canada and Muslims support French-Canadian nationalism?

Kind of a question to see what people think.

Is it genuine support? They really sympathise with French-Canadian cultural preservation?

Or is it because they want to divide the Canadian population on ethnic and make it a weaker country?

People underestimate Canada. Americans certainly do, but we underestimate ourselves as well. We are a powerful country and now since the Global Financial Crisis people worldwide are listening to us, not the Americans. Everybody says China this, China that, but Canada has more influence and even the Chinese are licking our asses. That's why the leftists who run the EU got us kicked out of the UN Security Council but let the pissant Arab states the worship so much stay in.

Well, my guess as to the thinking of non-Canadian white leftsits would be along these lines: 1) "They're French, which means they're also revolutionary liberals"; 2) "they're an oppressed class." I have no idea about Muslims. But I don't actually know anyone in my day-to-day life who cares about French-Canadian nationalism; I daresay most, even the leftists, are probably serenely unaware that there is such a movement afoot.

That could be a point. I have seen Acadians in particular uplifted by the far-left because of the history.

But also by the far-right in recent years as well.

Either way, I don't like my people being pimped for any political movement.

A lot of Muslims have more sympathy to French-Canadians based on the same grievances they have suffered from the Anglo-Saxon world. They see the French-Canadians as an oppressed class and have a similar struggle. I don't think most Muslims, especially Canadian Muslims want to sever Canada. I believe that sympathy to a large extent seems to be rather genuine and also there is an admiration of French-Canadians for having protected their traditions and culture and never gave up their identity by assimilating into the Anglo-Canada. This is where the respect Muslims have as well. Unlike Anglo-Canada and in general the Anglo-Saxon nations, French Canadians also seem to have more of pro-Palestinian views, and don't interfere in the Arab-Israeli conflict. The Anglo-Saxon world has always blindly supported the policies of Israel even when they are questionable, well French-Canadians have more of sympathetic view toward the Palestinian situation, and the French even are not pro-Israel as the Anglo-Saxon world. This perhaps what has brought the Muslims to see the French-Canadians with admiration and respect and even a mutual bond.

That may be so, but who gives a flying fuck what Muslims think?

To better understand the world and those who oppose you, it's important to learn what they think.

Know your enemy better you know yourself. It could have been written by Sun Tsu and I am quite sure that the man said something similar.

In fact I agree, of course, but knowing what they think, and allowing oneself to be influenced by it, are two very different things.

Naturally. Although we can use some of the good things that they come up with and use it against them.
