People are usually impressed when I tell them I know Hindi because they are mystified by the alphabet which actually isn't that hard to learn. Hindi grammar is also pretty simple and straightforward.

Some sort of Chinese is always seen as impressive because it's difficult to learn. But really any language can impress a lot of people here (except Spanish lol).. I speak 2 other languages besides English and it always gets a good response.
