The partition of Russia is logical, Ukraine's not so, but you probably know better than I do.

I have checked some maps before creating mine. France is splitted between north and south. Even some people say that they are culturally different and racially too. Ukraine has almost the same situation. What is your finally choice?

As genetics I am between East Europe and Central Europe. Most Romanians are like this.
Romania is located into South East Europe.

Switzerland and Belgium to some extent are in a cultural plates boundaries, but overall they are Germanic and the economic life is more Northern leaning, plus religion of many Swiss french speakers is protestant.

Linguistically the core of France is divided to not two but three areas.
Culturally France is very Latin, their iconic president De Gaulle even though born in Belgian neighboring city described his country as of Greek and Latin origins. The political system since two centuries worked on homogenization and you can see by yourself, don't hear here and there, create your own opinion.

On Ukraine, I don't have much to say, it is out of my reach, I'll ask you what are the main differences between SE and NW?
My choice? check my ethnicity, but if I was Euro France and Italy would have been my natural area.

Find it hard to believe that Greece has more in common with countries like Spain and Portugal than Balkan nations.

The Albanians, these tigers of mountain wars ... have as their religion rebellion. Even their worst warrior is one of the strongest and bravest on the battle-field, just as if he was a knight on the legendary horse. But he has no horse, nor proper weapons for battle. Instead of the horse, he has a lance which strikes as lightning, he has spears who's points are full of posion as the sting of hornets, he has also a wooden bow with some arrows. Furthermore, he is stronger than iron ...
