All you British islanders look alike to me.

    .......Wait this happened before.
Send me dms asking me to classify you, i'll have Barbarianna of Barbaria here put a few holes in you. Then I'll take this guitar and smash it over your head.

So maybe the name Ireland is redundant, and shouldn't be used?
'British Isles' is the correct term for the archipelago and the Irish can go cry about it all they like, it's not going to change. Thus they are 'British Islanders' along with the inhabitants of the UK. Whether you confine the term 'British' solely to inhabitants of the UK is up to you.

Yes, its 2 generations ago at its most recent though and the remaining 3/4 of my ancestry is English so I've never really connected with it. There's both Protestants and Catholics in there from Cork, County Armagh and Wexford. Those from Cork and Armagh bore Scottish surnames and from Wexford had English and Irish. I don't claim Scottish ancestry because I only know that the surnames are Scottish, not how they got to Ireland. Besides, Scottish ancestry via Ireland is like saying German ancestry via the Anglo-Saxons - daft (Der Spiegel and DM put it that way though... ).

Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems such as those connected with reality... Existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind and language... It strikes me as peculiar that most concern themselves solely with language, the least of all philosophies...

Common sense! The people native or indigenous to Great Britain. They are principally racially a Nordid people.
