Dear Gillette, you can't ask men to stand up to other men, by using their own masculinity, to kill the masculinity in other men...That's called a paradox. How about we just focus on what is right and what is wrong?

These days you never know for sure. Statistical Programming ? Not too far off from what my fiancee is doing on top of her job: she is going for a masters in much the same. She is a system designer for the police there. Funny how that goes: with me going the other way.

An interesting take from a MGTOW/MRA point-of-view:
Most of you know about the recent Gillette ad that sparked controversy but here I offer a somewhat different take on it compared to what most people have offered.

The Romans did not conquer all of Europe.
https://www.gsafewi.org/wp-content/u...py-UPDATED.pdf98 – The Roman historian Tacitus reports that the Germanic tribes execute homosexuals (corpores infames, “those who disgracefully abuse their bodies”) and sink them into swamps. Remains of several such corpses have been found in the peat bogs of Denmark and northern Germany and are now exhibited in museums. Some had been strangled to death prior to being sunk in the bogs, while others were apparently drowned alive.
ca. 500 – The Germanic tribes living south of Scandinavia gradually convert to Christianity and find their homophobic outlook confirmed by the Roman Catholic condemnation of homosexuality. Yet the Germans do not adopt the church- inspired edicts promulgated in 342 and 390 by Christian Roman emperors, who had called for burning homosexuals at the stake. Instead, the Germans maintain their own legal practices, which rely on oral tradition.
Tacitus wrote (if we are to believe his account):
Your idea about taking it up the ass is nonsense. It was seen as unmanly and cowardly. Raping other males would have been an act of dominance, much like we see with dogs. It was an act of humiliation. Lying around and getting your fudge packed would have been frowned upon severely in pre-Christian Germanic society. Accusing a man of being a homosexual would have been an insult, fighting words. In other words, if you pranced into a mead hall and called a man a faggot, you'd be asking for death.Traitors and deserters are hanged on trees; cowards, shirkers, and sodomites are pressed down under a wicker hurdle into the slimy mud of a bog. This distinction in the punishments is based on the idea that offenders against the state should be made a public example of, whereas deeds of shame should be buried out of men's sight.
Besides, just because the Romans and Greeks (and others) seemed to be tolerant of it doesn't really mean anything. Homosexuality has probably always been around, but there's nothing glorious about it. Understandably, those who wish to glorify it lament and wail about Christianity.
