Its hard to say. Globally, atheism is actually shrinking..
I dont know anyone who is an atheist personally. Local churches encourage community outreach and works with the general public, regardless of their faith . No one is as uptight about it in my area, but in certain parts of the country people get offended by anything too "churchy" , and are more likely to complain about "separation of church and state", which is not even in our Constitution.

It depends on the part of the country.
Texas has far more churches than Colorado does. However, there’s a rise in non-denominational churches which are practically self-improvement sessions rather than preaching from the Bible itself.

It is definitely growing in Poland. Or at least when it comes to a number of non-practising people.
