    I strongly agree.

But the very first priority of TA should be to embrace the idea that "White" is a social construct.

To what would be your patriotism directed at ?

You seem to be an eclectic personality like me bro, there is no nation that is good enough for us on this Earth.

I wish I had the financial means to be stateless.

Most patriotic people I've seen are fine with pointing out flaws when discussing their own country with fellow compatriots, but hate it when foreigners point out flaws in their country even if they basically say the same thing.

I do find that some people are blindly patriotic and don't like pointing out flaws in their country, IMO, being patriotic has nothing to do with pointing out flaws in your country. A person should be able to criticize and also feel patriotic to their country, so I disagree.

I find patriotism kinda silly, tbh.. tantamount to a fairy tale or child's diversion in the context of Scale (The Universe, Stars, Time etc)

    Just my perspective, though

In theory, I agree. But context matters. Constantly pointing out flaws and never mentioning anything good betrays a weak patriotism. I have a feeling this thread is meant to excuse Americans who see everything about America prior to the 1960s as a flaw. That's hardly patriotic constructive criticism. That's a desire to recreate, to "fundamentally transform." No, Barack Obama was not a patriot.
