Is it me or these 2 men belong essentially to the same racial type? One is south-arabid (the Arab owner of Malaga CF), the other just Arabid.

I am not going to talk about phenotypes , I will just say a few words about the uniforms.

I prefer the Spanish one because it is has a very classic look. It is also instantly recognizable as being Spanish.

The Portuguese uniforms while nice and elegant, look more generic, like the uniform that any modern police of a western democracy would typically wear.

I think the Guardia civil's tricornio is up there along with the French Kepi and English Bobby helmet in terms of "iconic" looks.

I can see the resemblance.

I can understand that if you are not into bullfighting you are not going to like anything that is reminiscent of it and this includes the hats.

That long faced man on the left has an extreme Portuguese look to him imo, it does not mean that he's necessarily very typical / common whatever like this but just that his face screams Iberian and even more - Portuguese. Bot Portuguese and Spanish here are very similar, all in all.

People in western and southern Spain look more similar to the Portuguese. People in the Pyrenees and along the Mediterranean coast look different.

They do and it makes sense (it is logical) as the geographical distance is much greater.
