I looked her up - she is actually African-American, but I thought her name sounded Hispanic (Inez Barron).

Even some of the "British/Irish/German" look like they could be from other backgrounds.

If you want to post Councillors from US cities who are of mostly NW European descent you better look into rural counties of states such as Utah, Minnesota, Iowa etc.

My purpose in this thread isn't to show what Anglo-Americans necessarily look like though - it is to show what New Yorkers look like.

Anyway, in New York City as a whole, around 30% of the population are Non-Hispanic White, 25% are Hispanic, 25% are Non-Hispanic Black, 15% are Asian/Pacific Islander and 5% are Other. By contrast, among these councillors, 50% are Non-Hispanic White, 20% are Hispanic, 25% are Non-Hispanic Black and 5% are Asian.
