What is your clade. I2a din north? I am din south.

Din south is a recent mutation, all i2a dinaric north or south comes from the clade the motala sample holds.

What does that have to do with Y dna? Unlike you I'm part of several Y dna projects, follow blog posts and new big y 700 results. I am actually up to date with the origins of my Y dna. You can't keep on posting basal I2 in an attempt to connect it to i2a1b which is way down the tree ancestrally. Motala i2a is its immediate ancestor.

Germans are not the same as Huns, they likely however contributed to the hunnic hordes. The Germans originated from the corded ware culture of scandinavia. There's a big difference!

Older (medieval) name of Nikšić the second largest city in Montenegro was Onogošt https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikšić
Onogošt came from Anagastum, which was name one of the Gothic leaders from the period of Gothic presence in area.

My theory is that population of once controlled Roman lands remained more or less Roman-like until 13th or 14th century. Then after Black Death plague and death of nearly 50% of Europe's population (mostly in central Europe) the doors were opened for northern Europeans to inhabit the more southern parts. Some Slavs previously inhabited the Balkans (7th century) after similar events in Eastern Roman empire (also a bubonic plague in 4th century), and there were some Goths in Italy and Spain but not enough to change the population. This probably occured after the plague.
