Hungarians don't hate slavs just some stupid chauvinist have bad relationship with Slovakia. There is no slavophobia in Hungary (for example our best friend is Poland) but we are anti pan-slavists.

Yes, because in 19. century the russian and serbian politicians wanted to make a great slav east european country (including Hungary and Romania) and it was gonna be the death of hungarian language/identity because of assimilation. That's why Hungary had always good relationship with Germany who were our allies against pan-slavism.
