I'm not specifically afraid of spiders, but I recognize the danger and threat of them. Otherwise, species that are harmless wouldn't bother me too much. Insects, Millipedes/Centipedes, and other arthropods that aren't spiders frighten me much more. I don't know why they specifically bother me while spiders don't. Maybe because of features like antena and small squirmy legs. Also many spiders have fur, which make them seem a bit more mammal-like, even if they're not. The only thing that really bothers me about spiders are all of the eyes they have.

I was never afraid of spiders until I found out that these fish eating beasts live in a marsh near me. I think in reality though it would be much more scared of my ugly mug than me of it.

Actually I don't have to worry about poisonous spiders where I live now, but if I was ever down south, your damn sure I would make sure, that one of these would not bite me.

They like to hide and usually bite when you happen to touch one. They have a nasty bite that can cause dermonecrotic lesions (i.e., necrosis). I would post pictures but they are to hideous to view.

Aren't they like super fast too? I've heard they can hide in between fruits and crates -yikes!

Ticks are evil! A cousin of mine contracted Lyme disease because of one and it is tearing his life apart

not really I always though of of them as fascinating & kinda hot at least the people who know how to handle them. I met a girl who had a shitload of snakes, spiders & scorpions that was kind of a turn on for me, maybe one day I to can be friends with a shitload of snakes & spiders. regarding pests well...I do kinda hate ticks(now ticks I REALLY hate) & raccoons ugh unbelievably annoying!!!
