I think it was Asimov who predicted a similar bilingual situation in the US as in Canada, like 20 or 30 years ago.

żSpanish? of course not, sudaca o panchito? maybe.

Espada tengo. Lo demás, Dios lo remedie.

In the west almost all Spain had been subjugated, except that part which adjoins the cliffs where the Pyrenees end and is washed by the nearer waters of the ocean. Here two powerful nations, the Cantabrians and the Asturians, lived in freedom from the rule of Rome.")

Languages that are spoken over large span areas always are bound to some divergence.

It's Spanish (Castillian), whether it hurts some ignorant peninsulars or not. Americans don't speak Yankee, they speak English. Same analogy.

There's not even a single Sudaca accent because not all Sudacas speak the same. We have been through this already. I sound nothing like a Mexican or a Chilean (and these last ones are just crossing the border).

The modalities spoken in the Americas are nowhere anywhere close to be considered creoles like the language Haitians speak is. If you have complaints don't take them to me, take them to the linguists.

    Resumiendo, panchito o sudaca.

Rob Steiger was playing a mexican in Once Upon A Time The Revolution but someone suggested his accent sounded more cuban than mexican.
I'm not ear-trained enough to understand the difference.

It will if we allow ourselves to be inundated by a tsunami of humanity from Mexico. A bilingual country is a divided country. [Don't ask me how
Switzerland manages to survive. Frankly, I don't understand it.]

I have said before that we have enough "wretched refuse". Let their
"huddled masses yearning to breathe free" clean up their own country and stay there. It's time we slammed the golden door.

I know that most Americans are or are descended from immigrants. Once, the USA needed many unskilled workers. We no longer do.

Many of us are descended from skilled workers: craftsmen, planters, printers, etc., that helped civilize and build this country. We definately don't need more people to make our Big Macs, cut our lawns, or roof our houses. That is what teenagers are for!

Don't try to discuss coherently with a racist. It's useless.

But let me tell you something. I don't understand why non-Mexican Latin Americans don't complain about the so-called "Latin American Spanish", which is nothing but Mexican without regional slang.

When they stop making those stupid hand signal gang signs and wearing baggy jeans...then yes they may one day be considered grown up.
