Nothing wrong with being rational. Rationality is the foundation for the spiritual.
Why do you think it's required for Seminarians and Rev. Brothers like me to study four years of philosophy...
(The College Major with the 3rd highest Average IQ)
Before we even touch on the Theology level? (Never mind my other double major in Education and minor in a Science specific to my order, the Jesuits are even more strict and exacting than us mere Augustinians)
You need to have solid reasoning before as foundations before you get to spiritual!
Being rational goes hand in had with being spiritual.

hahaha are you another ignorant saying that religious people can't be scientific???
Newsflash. Priests study philosophy before they get to theology and that's the College major with the 3rd highest average IQ.
I'll post my collegiate records in my monastery right now do you wanna compare grades hon?
And I'm actually one among the lazier students. My highest grades are in whut Sports? Art? Music? Hurhuruhurhur.
I got solid 90s on Philosophy, Argumentation and Debate, Logic (Symbolic, Syllogistic and Algebraic all rolled into one subject) and Psychology though.
But I'm not worthy of my more studious brothers who got solid 90s in more important subjects like Metaphysics, Materials Science, Mathematics, IT even though we're all religious people studying for priesthood.
I just make up for my laziness though since I've got solid marks in Pedagogy and Education and I had taught teenagers in the past.
Do tell me more, how you "prefer scientific logical explanations"...
I rest my case mon capitan.

I get sleep paralysis sometimes if I take a nap on my back also if I have drunk caffeine I seem to get it more frequently. Every time I get it I freak out a little internally and do everything I can to fully 'awaken' once I just manage to move my leg a little the dark presence vanquishes. Of course this means I never get a proper look at my demon thing my mind conjures up.
Every time an episode is over I tell myself next time will be the time I will just relax let the dark presence wash over me so I can see the hallucination better as I am curious as to what my brain is conjuring up. But I get too scared every time it happens that my heart rate speeds up and I move which of course breaks me out of the paralysis and the hallucination goes.

It used to happen to me a lot, but it hasn't happened in a few months. Usually because I fell asleep on my back. I have never seen anything or experienced anything demonic though... I just cant move and I struggle to break out. That's it.

Im not saying you arent a logical person in general, just that your explanation for sleep paralysis is far fetched lol dont be insecure about your intelligence.
Also stop with personal insults and assuming about others, I never said religious people cant be scientific dont put words in my mouth.
