That is an interesting point of view. I had my good share of Polish dziewczinki "coach surfers" in my flat back when I was at uni and they were indeed "very friendly" towards us. As a matter of fact they rarely took the coach

A typical Spanish (the Norther the more) is always suspicious at another Spanish for friendly he shows himself, so Id would say foreigners should do the same, not talking about straight criminals, but simply that they're many kinds of Spanish friendship and simpathy. The fact here many locals look more open and funny than average foreigner but you should discount many hipocresy, egotism and self-interest to get the real picture.

Maybe Im a cynical (even if I hate cinicism) but I believe in polite and friendliness just from people better stablished than myself.

Ps. Or more good-looking than me, tough at that case it can be love too.

I am sure I would have helped you as well, if you asked me nicely. It just runs in our DNA. For example I was about to write "fucking wogs" instead of "bloody foreigners" but then my superior sense for politness kicked in and reminded me a good chunck of the forum consists of pansies, who feel easily offended. So I changed it and no harm was done
