Aditt: I said Syria in my list however before the war and things went crazy Syria would have been very interesting place to visit but not now unfortunatly.

Erbil in the Kurdish part of Iraq is relatively safe and surprisingly civilized/developed

In all honesty I find both countries and their people interesting. Pakistan though is just too dangerous, there’s the growing anti-western sentiment, kidnapping, terrorism and the like. China has that awful authoritarian CPC which restricts everything from YouTube, Facebook, Yoga and other things for anyone in the county. Hong Kong or Taiwan would be much better tourist destinations as they’re not governed by China (at least for the moment.. they will definitely try to seize Taiwan some time)
