This was my 14th great grandfather. His son (Carl Jonsson Gulbrandtson) settled in Västergötland from Bergen and granddaughter (Christina Golbransdotter) to New Sweden colony. No confirmed ancestors born before the 16th century yet.

I'm aware of that. Just wanted to know if you know all 16/17 couples of that particular twig to him, or if there is broken lineage somewhere. I have 4 twigs with man + spouse birth / wedding and death dates to the 9th generation. So i know the lineages to 8 veryfied ancestors born ~1650 -1720. From there it's getting incomplete. I have 3 more 10th generation birthdates of the man, but without the spouse. And some loose mentions of the particular reports, entries in tax lists and village registers of the farmers from 2 different familie sides 1548, 1486 and 1339. The mentions of these farms themselves go back to 900.

I see. Yes, I have all couples in the twig up to him, i. e. from the 1st ancestral generation till the 16th. In the 17th generation, where he is, is the mother of his respective child unknown.

Only due to that a historian from the 17th century https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caspar...s_(Historiker) wrote the detailed history of that particular town including some family history, it was possible to get a few generations farther back than what is covered by the church records.

My oldest ancestor in family tree I have on Ancestry as far as I can see is Ostoja who was Lord of Rama-Bosnia, born around 1290, so 13th century. I got my family tree detailed on that side (paternal grandma, of Dalmatian Hvar island) trough DNA cousin in Argentina who is into geneaology for decades.

1765 we belive that my 7:th Generation grandfather's father came from East Serbia to Vojvodina "Northern Serbia" becous there is no more records of my male family line there befor that and it was avout that time many from East serbia went to Vojvodina

Thought this could be updated, it wasent East Serbia but Romanian part of Banat called Caraș-Severin in either a villige called Vărădia or Mercina, they both are next to each other
