I agree with every part of this.

my first post .... good posts from a lot of you, and some misinformed ...

I am catholic (maronite) Lebanese, and we all look near-eastern. To a lot of you, that would look like any other mediterranean person- sicilian, spanish, jewish, palestinian, turkish, greek. etc...... one of my grandmothers is from a village in Lebanon where crusaders from Northern Europe settled during the crusades.. I have relatives with blonde hair and blue eyes, but strongly armenid features otherwise. A lot of people think I am southern Italian , Armenian or Jewish because of this simple fact that lots of christian Lebanese have western european blood in them. Other than that, the Phoenicians sailed the seas and spread their seed and mixed with others far and wide ...

Also, Lebanon has been conquered many times over, first by the Kingdom of Armenia, then Mongolians, Persians, Macedonians. etc... I have siblings and other relatives who have a major oriental brush to their eyes, and in Lebanon this is known as the "Ghengis Khan " eyes ..

All in all, to keep it simple, Lebanese-Phoenicians are another group of mediterranean armenids living in the Levant. In turn, some Italians (sicilians especially) and Spaniards could pass for Lebanese (Vincent Schiavelli and George Clooney come to mind, though Clooney does not have the prominent nose, he could pass for Lebanese with crusader genes no problem)

Also I casted my votes, I forgot to do so (thank you sleepytigers for the reminder).

I picked the obvious, of course (sicily, malta, greece, albania)

I also picked Serbia and Croatia, only because I have a good friend who is serbian and she tells me I look like her family members to the point where it's uncanny.

If anyone is wondering why I picked France or the British Isles, is because some french look levantine in the sense of long face, prominent noses, eyes, eyebrows, etc... and for British Isles, besides Britain indeed being a colony of the Phoenicians, the Irish too have Phoenician blood (all of this can be referenced at www.phoenicia.org which have scientific research references). A personal story of sorts I can share is a friend of my mother's who is thought to be 100% Irish, took a DNA test and it turned out she had the Phoenician DNA marker. Britain is also apparently a Phoenician name (like "Spain" and "Europe" before being anglicized) .

There are indeed some Brits I have met that look like they are southern european or Levantine, as they both look very similar

OK, so Southern Europeans are exchangeable with Levantines and Levantines had a huge influence in all Europe. I see where are you're going. Always funny to read pseudo-historians such as yourself.

I agree with him about SE Europe. Even Spain to come extent if you take some of the more generic looking Levantines who just have a pan-Med look. France and the British Isles are much more of a stretch.
