Please classify. Does this Aryan Parthian warrior look more Persian or Kurdish.




Parhtian Empire existed between 247 BC - 224 AD.

Persians are SouthWest Iranic people. Kurds are NorthWest Iranic people. Parthians were like the Kurds and Medes, NorthWest Iranic people. There is only 1 problem most Kurds are Kurmnaji Kurds and the native religion of the Kurmanji Kurds is Mithraism/Yezidism. While, I read that Parthians were mostly Zoroastrian like Persians.

My vote goes to Kurdish. This Parthian looks much more Kurdish than Persian. He belongs to an Aryan Zagrosian subtype with some Aryan Caspian Sea elements. Very Kurdic PaleoCaucasian look.

Saladin was born in Tirkit. The same place were Saddam Hussein was born. Before Arabisation Tikrit and Mosul (Nineveh) was Kurdistan. The Medes defeated the Assyrians and took Nineveh and Tikrit.

Saladin belonged to a Kurdish Rawadiya tribe. His family had originated from the village of Ajdanakan near the city of Dvin in ancient central Armenia, today Northern Kurdistan.

Like I said Kurds existed in name but not culturally unique, they were different tribes of Nomads, they don't come from a single people, The Khwarazm people came from the same tribes as the Kurdish. Khwarazm was at one time a Parthian kingdom. The original Nomadic Kurds came from Isfahan, they developed from Dark ages, up until the 1900's. Before the Mongol invasions, the Kurds were not a single people outside central Iran, they grew and became an amalgamation of different Iranian peoples.
