Survey for ALL Europeans

For purpose of this thread, Europe is divided into 4 corners: NW, SW, NE, SE

You will be offered in poll to answer, weather you, as for example SW European feel closer to, or prefer, NW or SE Europeans.
Goal of this thread is to determine weather there is more north/south solidarity in europe, or west/east

You can explain your choice if you want, it can be race, genetics, culture , lifestyle, anything under the blue sky.
So let's go!

But that should be more clear, for instance, SW usually refers to Iberia and SE refers to Balkans... so, Italy, in this case, would be what? SW?

Agreed, I like the idea of the thread but before I vote I think we need some clearer boundaries. Does Sweden count as NW or NE Euro? And does a country like Switzerland count as NW or SW Euro?

Note: it's just my view, if you don't agree (for example you are North French and feel NW Euro, or Moldovan feel NE Euro, etc.) go for it and vote according to your own classification of yourself

Sweden is NW Europe for certain. In Switzerland I guess it depends on ethnic affliation: Italian or French speaking Swiss may chose SW, and German speaking Swiss NW Euro identification.
However it is not determined and depends on their own opinion in such countries with poorly defined position on 4 corners axis.

in real life to my "i prefer SE europeans" i would add " and Iberians"

edit: i hope this is not considered cheating because what i just said basically would mean i prefer all southern europeans ( mediterranian France remained out though)

I would say geographically, and culturally Italy is SW. Some south Italian may feel SE I guess, due to ties with Greece (genetics too), and it's totally up to him to chose his identification.
