The proper term would be 'Dagestani' not 'Dag'. The people (Dagestanis) were named after the region not the other way around. Dag just means "mountain".

Sure, it is Middle Eastern,, I was referring the migrations from Europe to Israel after 1947. Israel still has a policy where any Jewish person can immigrate there and get citizenship. There are still American Jews that move there as they feel it is there homeland.
