Classify my Cape Verdean great grandfather

One poster said he looks 30% African.. another said he barely looks African at all.



The woman second from the left is my grandmother.. classify her too.

They don't look anything African/negro to me.

I've noticed that with just a small amount of negro admix, the features which betray this admix tend to be; wide nose, some prognathism, big mouth. All together it creates quite a distinctive look. Looks somehow primitive.

Agreed, I don't particularly see the African. He just looks advanced in age.

He was from Brava.. the island that received the most Portuguese settlers (including recent ones) and had the fewest slaves.

If he has any Sudanid input its minimal maybe like 5%-10% his forehead and occiput from what I can see of it look a little strange.

He came from the least "black" island of the Cape Verdean islands.. this man is from the same one and has a similar look IMO
