South Italians are very close (by phenotype/genotype) to Syrians than to average European let alone North-west Europeans.

So if all Syrians followed Christian culture, would they be allowed in?

There are whole villages of Greeks in Syria that have become Arabized. Many Armenians too. But Syrians don't cluster anywhere S.Italians nor they look like them, nor are genetically similar.

because they cost money, besides it was USA that armed rebels, why should Russia bear the burden of refugees.
