dayum. I'm only 12.5% red sea. I guess you have every right to call yourself a Semite even though Copts are not ethnically Semitic since they - along with their Egyptian Muslim counterparts - are descendants from the ancient Egyptians. We Palestinians and Egyptians are pretty close to one another minus some differences:

Egyptians are quite close to Levantines. Using Berbers, the Canaanite samples, Armenia_EBA, Arabs, Steppe and extra African I get:

    "distance%=1.1742"

    Egyptian

    Levant_BA_North,55.4
    Mozabite,20
    BedouinB,15.8
    Dinka,8.8

Palestinians score small, but significant amount of Steppe + more Canaanite and Armenian. Also some Berber probably due to this sample having several Egpytian mixed Palestinians.

    "distance%=0.8776"

    Palestinian

    Levant_BA_North,61.8
    BedouinB,13
    Armenia_EBA,8
    Sintashta_MLBA,7.8
    Mozabite,5.2
    Dinka,4.2
The ancient Egyptians - like their descendants today - are genetically very closely related to Levantines than to other Africans as a whole.

Yes it is strange that I score a lot of red sea. Not sure how copts have that much.

Perhaps because your people didn't mixed with the later west Asiatic migrants from Anatolia and Iran that changed the genepool of the Levant. I mean, despite that Egyptians are not Semites and all, their genes are the most similar to the ancient Levantines from the early bronze age than in later periods.

I strongly believe copts are one of the most near eastern groups alive today with little mixing with non near easterners.

Given my semitic nose and Sicilian heritage I expected at least a little but nope, 0%.

Pretty much. I mean, the fact is that despite Egyptians are North Africans, they're genetically belong to the same cluster as Palestinians and other Southern Levantines which is part of the middle east genetic cluster rather than belonging to the NA cluster like Berbers and so on.

Yes egyptians to me are just an extension of southern levantine.

because NorthAfricans are more proto-semitic than actual Semites. Near East is heavily CHG/West_Asian shifted. Proto-semitic does not equal semitic.

Ancient egyptian was also part of the afroasiatic-languages
    Proto-semitic=afroasiatic
