Default A Britain of independent regions

The following map shows a proposal for the division of Britain into its constituent regions, based on ancient kingdoms.

You pratt, England should remain united, a federation based on the heptarchy is the msot independence I'd like to see for the regions of England, the Englisc belong together and have been united for centuries.

By the way, in Mercia you forgot Flintshire, Offa's dyke is the border between Mercia and Wales.

And look where a united England and rule from London has got us.

Haven't forgot Flintshire. In fact, we used to claim it for Sovereign Mercia, but later decided, for simplicity's sake, to stick with the modern Welsh border.

And yet Roxburghshire, Berwickshire, Selkirkshire etc. are to be found in Scotland according to your map?

    Poor Northumbria.

Indeed. Again, it follows the current Scottish border. But that's ultimately a matter for them to decide.

Note that what is currently Greater London is split between two regions, which is probably a good thing. However, those small regions in the south-east might consider some sort of federation, or even a single state.

...is a pushover Britain. If you shatter Britain into tiny fragments then you're pretty much dooming any semblance of independence the British peoples might have. Oh I might add your Britain is probably a wet dream for many Germans.
