That little paragraph does read like a list of excuses though, who needs a gym subscription, or diet food?

You don't need a gym to excercise. You don't even need to leave the house. As for healthy food. Shop around. I'm sure they could replace some of their biscuits and burgers with fruit and veg!

Cases like this really piss me off. These people are nowhere near being "too fat" to work, they're just damned lazy and want to make money off of being attention seekers and drama queens. I know people in much worse situations, physically speaking, who are still capable of employment. A family friend I know has cerebral palsy went through teacher's college and is now employed as a high school supply teacher and does quite well. She could easily, instead, sit on her couch all day and go on welfare because of her disability but she doesn't. So if someone who can't even walk without canes can at least do something like supply teach then why can't these folks? I also knew a woman who used to be a cashier at the hardware store I work at summers. She was so obese that it would take her half an hour to make it from the front door to the lunchroom, and yet she still worked.

Its not very difficult to be something as simple as cashier for crying out loud. Hell, go apply at McDonald's if they're so concerned with their junk food, they'll get employee discounts

This is simply the case of lazy people taking advantage of a system they know will bend over backwards for them. They can work as well as the next person, the only handicap they have is laziness, and tax payers should not have to compensate them for that.

Anyway I don t think anyone in their family is stimulating these girls to loose the weight.

Isn't there some kind of job they could get that doesn't require standing? Like maybe at a call center answering phones. As a last resort they could come to America & get jobs as carnival workers.

Yeah, those girls were raised thinking that "this is the way it must be". Probably hard to get away from that sort of learned irrational thinking.

I spent my whole day in a job prospect centre being told how to suck eggs. At least the host was pretty, or I would have driven myself round the bend, but, looking round I couldn't help noticing how fat everyone was. Everywhere I turned it was just fat ugly people.

Ceallach was telling me this evening how her mate went to the doctors as she wasn't feeling to good. Her weight is over 3 stone more than it should be, but the doctor said she was fine and that she wasn't even obese.

The woman wasn't looking for a handout, but a helping hand in losing the weight and breaking the weight gain cycle from her pregnancy.

I reckon they will treat the obese like they treated the unemployed. The less there are, or the more they can shift in to different categories, the better it will look for them statistically.

But over here in America they wouldn't get to go on disability just for being obscenely obesed. I've seen plenty of obese people out there working. Now if they were obese & black, then they would get disability.
