U.S. multinational company Uber loses its licence to operate in London

TfL (Transport for London) said it had identified a "pattern of failures" in London that placed passenger safety at risk.

These included a change to Uber's systems which allowed unauthorised drivers to upload their photos to other Uber driver accounts.

It meant there were at least 14,000 fraudulent trips in London in late 2018 and early 2019, TfL said.

According to Uber, 24% of its sales come from just five cities, including London. The others are Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco and São Paulo in Brazil.

In a public filing, it said: "Any inability to operate in London, as well as the publicity concerning any such termination or non-renewal, would adversely affect our business, revenue, and operating results."

Uber is going to appeal against this decision so a magistrate will have to decide whether Uber is fit to hold a licence in London, or not.

A decision from a magistrates court could take weeks or months and unless the court decides otherwise, Uber will retain its licence during this period too.

The Uber giant bosses fears that this decision in LDN will now open a pandora's box wherever Uber operates in other cities, since the company's regulations aren't meeting safety standards.

After watching that news interview in the video I posted above, it appears that Uber is extremely selfish and they couldn't care less about the safety of their customers;- they clearly only care about their profits rather than caring about the people who are using their poorly regulated services.

They make no mention of ways they can improve safety regulations within their company, and it's all about saving their own image for their customers in other cities who are taking safety risks by using their dodgy and poorly regulated services.

Therefore, with that type of obnoxious and appalling attitude, they deserve to be flushed.
