I just felt I had to do this thread, hence the forum focuses on Europeans and there descendants through the world. I'm Latin American (or as they call us in the U.S "Hispanic") therefore I'll focus on my heritage/ region's Europeans/ pred European.

Please I ask for mature opinions, discussion, analyzes and questions

Some of them look slightly mixed but for the most part from what I see, white Dominicans truly do look white. There are almost no white Dominicans in the US though from what I hear.

Yes it's due to higher percentage of more mixed Dominicans living in the north-east, and the whiter in Florida much laid back wealthier places , places such as Dade county and Broward. There are about 200,000 "white" Dominicans in the U.S as a whole as compare to more then +1,500,000 mixed ones.

Some look like octoroons or mixed. The last little girl has a negroid nose.

Round noses doesn't necessarily point to negroid influence, but it could be possible.

Most of the Dominicans here blend in with the Cape Verdeans.

But if we were told that those three brunettes are (from the left) Spanish, French, and Dutch, no one would object:

Not necessarily octoroon. Some "white" Dominicans might have Taino blood which slaves that were imported later don't have.

It's not a "might" but a reality, researches have confirmed Taino presence in over 16% of the population of that country. I know many plenty of friends form DR who are pred. "white" and according to 23andme's results they carry about 5-10% of Native .

The Taino presence is almost as strong as the S.S.A and European .

The one in the middle looks negro-influenced. I can see it, the nose+eyes area gives me a mulatto vibe.
