I've really been thinking to get a black cat, they look so badass.

You would do good thing adopting a black one, usually people abandon or are afraid of black cats for some superstition. They are the most abandonned, molested and euthanazied cats The assocations saving abandonned cats hardly find people willing to adopt black ones.
