I have been studying the early history of Russia for 20 years and I know all the versions and theories thoroughly. 1) Vikings appeared in Russia at the end of the 9th century. They participated in the trade of Krivichi with Bulgars and Khazars, Baghdad. 2) There is no archaeological and historical evidence of Viking dominance in Russia. Vikings dominated the UK. In Russia - Gnezdovo Vikings were mixed with Slavs and attention! They worshipped the Slavic god Perun and Veles. This is documented in ancient chronicles!
