It would have to be an animal that I liked and that suited my personality, my beliefs, my motto but that also inspired respect.

Each of those have many variants, of course, as number, colour and position of the animal can vary a lot.

Lions, for instance, can be rampant, passant, statant, salient, sejant, sejant erect, couchant or dormant.

Wolfs and horses are always nice. I like the Saxon horse, it occurs through a lot of the Netherlands, Germany and even a few areas of England such as Kent (although kent was Jutish).
