I think people in general are envious of what they perceive they lack, that's all.

True, also for Americans we have books and all kinds of resources for genealogy, I wasn't expecting much from my tests and am still thinking I could have used the money better

. It's even more underwhelming when you don' get regions and stuff. Americans are kind of spoiled when it comes to knowing where your roots especially if you are from old stock.

They are just PC. PC speech. It would be "outrageous" if someone said "Im pure White and proud". Maybe they do not hate themselfes, just talk PC. It is reddit after all.
