Yes, but mostly because of Galicia and other northern regions of Spain.

But on the other hand Greeks are lighter than people from canary islands and balears so the average is similar

I think there is no essential difference with regards to light or dark between any Southern Europeans

wether it is Greeks vs Spanish,Spanish vs Italians or Italians vs Greek both have at their extremes types about the same light and the same dark
where there is maybe differences is in the averages, for example the Southern half of Italy might on average be slightly darker than Greeks and so on...

Both have Meds and both have Non Med types who look lighter so whats the point they should be roughly
about the same
