Default Russian language is Balkan language ripoff

    For example:

    English: This is my home.

Bosnian language: Ово је мој дом.

    Russian: Это мой дом.

As you can see in English "THIS -> IS -> MY -> HOME" this is, (MY), home. Same goes in Bosnian "Ово је" мој "Дом"

However in Russian they say Это. That term in South Slavic languages means only "THAT" so proper translation of Russian to Bosnian would be: "THAT MY HOME"

That is very simple example, however WHOLE Russian language is a primitive form of South Slavic Languages with literal translations like: "I GO SCHOOL" "WE FIRE GUNS" etc..

they are missing tons of adjectives, and other grammar functions that are available in South Slavic languages.

In comparison their language is simplified South Slavic language ... it's dumbed down Slavic language something that happened to Romance languages as well by simplifying Latin language.

This all points to the fact that South Slavic languages are either Older or were spread to non-Slavic lands from Balkans.

    Это = Tо je

Anyway I could say Polish is as close as Russian, you just need to learn how to read.

    English: This is my home.

Bosnian language: Ово је мој дом.

    Russian: Это мой дом.

why do you make things complicated? In Russian you can also write and say "это есть мой дом"

There was a post on Reddit about which Slavic language is the closest to Proto-Slavic. I'll post the info here:

    • Polish has preserved the two nasal vowels (although mixing the two of them in its own pattern).
    • Slovene has preserved the dual (plural starts at three).
    • All South Slavic languages except Slovene have preserved the "aorist" way to express past, alongside the common one.
    • Bulgarian has preserved the "large yer" vowel.
    • The "small yer" vowel is gone, either shifted to other vowels or part of soft consonants.
    • The "yat" vowel is also gone, and all languages have their own pattern for how it was shifted to other vowels.
    • All Slavic languages have a largely intact case handling, except for Macedonian and Bulgarian that have been simplified.
    • In East Slavic languages, the early vowel "shuffle" around consonants L and R is a bit incomplete, with vowels ending up on both sides. Compare English "milk", Czech "mléko" and Russian "moloko".
    • Some languages have the consonant G changed to H.
Seems like its hard to give a clear answer. All seem to be more conservative in some ways while less conservative in other ways.

Another person on Quora says it might be Slovene:

They are equally close. It may be argued that Macedonian and Bulgarian are a bit more distant since they lost noun declension and developed articles.

Russian has lost some tenses, lost the verb to be in the present tense, lost unstressed pronouns, but its noun and verb endings are quite archaic, and the place of stress is conservative. It also retains many palatalized consonants.

Czech has lost the old place of stress, but retained vowel length and unstressed pronouns (which has been lost in Russian).

Slovene is quite archaic, and maybe just a bit closer to Proto-Slavic due to retention of the dual number. It also preserves vowel length (not completely), pitch accent, and various unstressed forms. It has also more vowels.

Chakavian dialect of Croatian (spoken on adriatic coast and islands and original language of medieval Croatia) is one of most conservative slavic languages and preserved many arhaic slavic features lost in other modern slavic languages.

Why? In Russian you can say that.

Меня зовут Sundqvist ( Menya zovut... ) In English it will be: My name is Sundqvist (not I am Sundqvist).
Я Sundqvist (Ya Sundqvist) - l am Sundqvist.
