I've always wanted a 'Baby Eagle', or more correctly Jericho 941, in .45. All steel, reliable, accurate and easy shooting, good looks, and exotic to boot.
Baby Eagle2
It's a man stopper in .45

Cynicism is an attitude or state of mind characterized by a general distrust of others' apparent motives or ambitions, or a general lack of faith or hope in the human race or in individuals with desires, hopes, opinions, or personal tastes that a cynic perceives as unrealistic or inappropriate, therefore deserving of ridicule or admonishment. It is a form of jaded negativity, and other times, realistic criticism or skepticism. The term originally derives from the ancient Greek philosophers called the Cynics who rejected all conventions, whether of religion, manners, housing, dress, or decency, advocating the pursuit of virtue in accordance with a simple and unmaterialistic way of life.

I re-zerod my rifles over the 4th of July holiday.
(Weapons shown are not mine, but the same model. I'm to far from home to take pics of mine right now.)
My Browning BLR in .308 is still sub-MOA and 2.25 inches high at 100 yards.
My Browning 1885 in .270 needs a new scope, as it wouldn't hold a zero for 5 shots...TIME TO BUY ANOTHER LEUPOLD SCOPE! WOOHOO!
My Savage 12 VLP in .223 now sports a new Leupold VX3 4.5-14x40 with a Varmint reticle still 1/2 MOA with one load, MOA with the cheapest 55gr russian crap ($289 incl tax for 1000 rounds at Cabela's - includes free dry box x 2) That's it in my Avatar with the old scope)
My sporterized P17 Eddystone Enfield JUST missed doing a one-hole 3-shot group with Winchester Supreme Ballistic Silvertips (at $2.50 a shot!)
You don't need a gun until you need a gun. Then you need a gun and there is no good substitute.

I have a few guns. I don't show them off. I use them responsibly.

According to a post in a military photos forum, this variant of the Springfield was manufactured in 1918, for use by aircrew who were forced down behind enemy lines. The rifle had a permanent magazine holding 25 rounds.
I've also read about Springfields that were field-modified on Guadalcanal to accept BAR magazines, but I haven't found anything on the internet about them.
