Even if they found VI century Slavs which were second generation after arrival of their Ukrainian-like forefathers who impregnated local Thracians/ Illyrians, they could be already Serbian/ Romanian like.

He was responding to a guy who was wondering if the Slavs that impacted on Greece genetically were Polish-like. I think by his answer he implied that Greeks received admixture from Balkan Slavs, who were already of mixed Slavic and local ancestry.

There are no surprises here for those familiar with the sources of the classical authors.
"Sclavos sive Getas: hoc enim nominem antiquitis appellati sunt." - "Slavs, or Getae because that was their name in antiquity."
The Getae known in medieval sources as Sclaveni, Sclavos, Σκλάβοι, Σκλαβηνοι, Σθλαβηνοι, Σθλοβηνοι, caused the most problems to the Roman Empire. As a result, their name became the most famous and gradually, over time, prevailed over all other people speaking related languages.

The revolutionary is not the information that we are mixed, because obviously everyone here is like that, but the fact that it is already recognized, still indirectly, of course, that the southern Slavs are not late settlers in Europe, but have a direct connection with the local European population. Cultural, linguistic, historical, blood relationship.

that makes sense. he probably assumed Greeks obtained their Slavic pull by slowly mixing with Bulgarians throughout the middle ages, or something like that.

but actually the Slavic input in Greece happened in the 7th century, and those Slavs were probably Ukrainian like on average.

That "mainland Balkan" shift probably came mostly with Albanians and Aromanians.

For me it is unlikely they weren't mixed already when entering Greece. But let's wait for new samples.

Can't believe this gem went unnoticed...It's a complete onslaught for every genetic calculator.
I told you that balkanites gene poll remained almost intact ever since Iron Age, this inevitably means that immigrant medieval age slavs had close to no impact.Once this study comes out, every one of you who spent money on these fake amateur calculators will regret ever purchasing them.

Vlach power honkies. #REPARATIONS #CABBAGE TACOS
Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live.

Even if this were hard--that is how it is ! Assuredly, however, by far the harder fate is that which strikes the man who thinks he can overcome Nature, but in the last analysis only mocks her. Distress, misfortune, and diseases are her answer.
