Most Frenchs are rather brown/chestnut haired with light eyes or light mixed eyes. Of course, you find a good number of swarthy individuals and dark eyes also.

In this topic, you have a more correct notion. Except for the third guy of the firt page, his name is Pierre- André Gignac, has algerian and gypsie ancestries.

    Strauss- Kahn is a jew

    Yes, i'm Lady Isabel
Sorry, i didn't know Strauss-Kahn is a jew, i thought he was an average type in france (maybe cause there are lots of jews in france, then). Just my ignorance. But his surname sounds german, so i was confused.
I've seen the pic, yes, there are many kinds of frenchs, i don't know if it's a case, but the ones i personally know are dark haired and a bit "fleshy"...maybe it's caused by the miscellation of these years, i don't know. Probably frenchs of nowadays are very different from typical ones of 50 years ago.
Many people tell me i look like a typical girl from Paris or Normandy, i'm light brown haired and eyes, alpinoid....

yes, his last name is "German" because he is Ashkenazi. And you're right, France has the largest concentration of Jews in Europe and received many Portuguese immigrants, Italians and Spaniards, which actually caused the French people vary in their characteristics. But if you want to know about percentage. About 20% of French adults are blond, do not include light brown hair. Many are born blond, because they have the gene and when they reach adulthood, the hair is brown. About 63% have light eyes. 36% have green eyes, blue and gray and the rest hazel. 37% of brown eyes. 4% of redheads, 3% black- haired, 16% of dark brown and 43% of medium brown hair and 14% of light brown hair.

So the French are like that. If you have these traits, you can fit in any region of France.

The examples posted are very representative of Belgium as a whole.

No, they aren't. They are just samples of a specific look that is unmistakeably Belgian but that is far from being dominant in that country.

Well, I could start a thread with Belgian stereotypal type, which is quite different (and not either representative of the country's actual racial make-up).

The Belgian stereotype has remarkably rounded off facial features, and is often associated with some tendency to overweight. Flemish politicians are quite typical for that (the Flemish elite love good food, better than French cuisine, and in Bavarian quantities, if you see what I mean. Furthermore they are very sharp connoisseurs in wines, and in Belgian beers, the world's best, and in genever, oude klare, mmmh yummmy...).

Some Belgian politicians (Flemish all of them):

    • Jean-Luc De Haen (former prime minister):

    • Guy Verfofstadt (former prime minister):

    • Bart De Wever:

They all have a quintessential stereotypal Flemish look that is both French and Dutch and neither of both, but well...

A similar phenotype had Walloon grammarian and philologist Maurice Grevisse, very famous here for his book Le Bon Usage ("The Right Use"). Maybe you dunno him but he's the man who codified modern French language and taught us that there is one and only one optimal way to properly state the shade you want to express, anyone at an advanced level in French has to look into that book on a daily basis). He just looked like you'd pictured yourself Hercule Poirot!

SS-general Leon Degrelle also had that kind of face BTW...

They all look precisely what they are. This thread was a no-brainer.

French women tend to be thin and elegant. They normally have a height of around 1.65 m, of course, some are higher and others lower, but average is around it. .

And do not worry, you're not bothering me. You can ask anything you want. As I can help, I will

Why don't you post pictures of yourself so we can give you a more precise opinion?

Basically I would say that Belgians are to French, what the Dutch are to Belgians.

The Dutch are a bigger, fairer version of the Belgians, and the Belgians are a bigger, fairer version of the French.
