Questo thread non l'ho aperto per dimostrare che gli Italiani sono biondi ma che non tutti i biondi sono del nord, ti è più chiaro ora?

All blondes in that area of Italy as well as in this area of Balkans where I live are most probably future victims of skin cancer, being blonde in the South is really a sort of a curse unless they have at least skin type 2 or much better 3(3 easily gets tanned and keeps the tan for a long time and is resistant to Sun burns) . I speak from personal experience...

I got bad sun burn when I was age 10, and that burn on my back turned into brown pigmented patch size 10x10cm , a big freckle , and it took almost 4-5 years for it to completely fade out and disappear and I had to check it with dermatologist once a year to confirm its still benign and had to stay away from the Sun during that time too. Fortunately during puberty my hair went from golden blonde to brown and eyes changed from Blue to more hazel Blue/Green and I can get tan now but it still takes a lot of time, I need protection and once I get the tan I loose it usually for less than 2 weeks if I otherwise don't maintain it...

This is not the Italian section of the board thus all people posting here do not speak Italian, so use English.

Of course there are light-pigmented Southern Italians Who doubts it? But to call it significant percentage is a far far stretch. Things are accordingly to local history and latitude. Very beautiful sceneries and local culture in the region, by the way.

I observed people in these fora exaggerate blondness of Northerners the same as they exaggerate the lack of blondes in the Mediterranean, so I understand why this thread, Veleda; some really need to see pictures and to be told things to understand them (hopefully)
Public opinion, because of the tremendous urge to conformity in gregarious animals, is less tolerant than any system of law. (George Orwell)
