Bosnian Muslims are Europeans. They have been living in Europe forever (their ancestors have) and they have been culturally Muslims for 500 years. They and their culture is indigenous to Europe (unlike modern Muslim immigrants). They may have been very Islamic before WW2, but this has changed under socialism and they have become way more Europeanised and what counts is how they are culturally today. They are also more blond haired and blue eyed than Bosnian Serbs.

Aside these "ultra" islamists from Bosnia, which are ridicilouos in their attempt to be different from Serbs and Croats as much as they can, average Bosniaks are far away from MENA culturally, even Turkey are very different from MENA culturally, especially western part of Turkey and Thrace. And even MENA countries are not that similiar like people maybe think.

Yeah definitely, I mean Morocco is very different from Syria or Iraq aside from the linguistic bond. Even culturally there are quite a few differences. I think North Africa is kind of its own thing.

Their culture was Europeanized during Tito's Yugoslavia. This is how Bosnian Muslims areas looked like until 1945.
